Oregon's Largest Home and Garden Show!

Spring is almost here, and so is the 63^rd Annual Portland Home & Garden Show!  Each year thousands flock to the show with ideas, plans, and needs, and the Portland Home & Garden Show is ready to deliver solutions.  This year tour 15 amazing Showcase Gardens, 2 remarkable model homes and visit with hundreds of vendors inside the Expo Center – this is clearly the show of choice for homeowners and gardeners! Come to the Portland Home & Garden Show, the first and largest show of its kind in Oregon for the past 60 years, this February 24 through 28, 2010.

2010 Portland Home & Garden Show Highlights:

The Showcase Gardens are not to be missed this year!  With 15 gorgeous garden displays to explore, here is your chance to see new garden designs, color trends, stunning materials and of course plants of special interest. The Original Plant Sale is now part of the Showcase Gardens area!  The Plant Sale will have dozens of the finest nurseries in the area participating. The Original Plant Sale is being redesigned this year to fit within the Showcase Garden area – providing the ultimate in spring fun.  A great selection of plants is available including grasses, perennials, shrubs, plants of special interest and more!

Home Depot is going to help you with your next Do-It-Yourself project.  The Home Depot’s Do-It-Yourself Stage is a great user friendly feature for the Portland Home & Garden Show, where Home Depot pros help you become skilled at simple projects around the home. 

It’s a show within a show! See the orchids bloom within the The Portland Orchid Society displays. For those enthralled by these striking flowers you can find an amazing array of orchids on display and for sale at the show. Orchids are popular with hobbyists around the world over and the interest in the hobby is apparent within the Portland Home & Garden Show.  Both novice and pros can learn tips, techniques and get advice about growing orchids from the orchid experts on hand.

Featuring the creative works of northwest artists, craftsmen and craftswomen the Portland Home & Garden Show is excited to announce the return of The Shop People: a studio and gallery located in southeast Portland offering creative people a work space, tools, and guidance to facilitate their creative dreams. Teachers and experts from 100^th Monkey will also be on hand demonstrating crafts you can do at their studio and at home.  Crafts, art and live demonstrations all in one area! Plus visit with eight additional artists will be participating!

Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals adoption area is returning to the Portland Home & Garden Show.  Hundreds of dogs and cats are adopted each year through this special cooperative arrangement.  You may end up going home with a new family member!
